itdood, glad you were able to find a good comfortable place and keep your paps under control. I guess I should be thankful I dont have more than I do (knock on wood). I have underwent basically every test on the heart that can be done, echo, ekgs, x-rays, stress test, holter monitor, and they said it was all normal. But having paps isnt much fun, and wish there was an easy way to get rid of them. Guess I'll just keep trying the supplements and see if I find a good combination.
Any evidence for the efficacy for the supplements you tried is purely anecdotal. There have been studies done to confirm Magnesium and fish oil. The few studies I've seen all contradicted the anecdotal evidence. That leaves us with no evidence.
Isolated palpitations are going to change. They will not stay the same. Over time they may increase or decrease. If you do nothing, they will change. If you chew on rocks they will change and people tend to try to find the cause-effect. If you just started chewing on rocks at the same time a change occurred, you blame the rocks.
When I was getting 1,000s of PVCs per day I would try anything. I was a desperate man, if my doctor told to to rub dog doo on my head I would have done it. WIth a lot of trial and error the only thing I found that I think helped was some combo of better diet, losing wieght, and magnesium. This got me down to your level of palps, and I was very happy with those results. Then the palps went back up while I was on the mag. So I stopped taking the mag, and they went back down. I think I was just in that natural cycle of waxing and waning of PVCs and happened to show improvement right around when I started the mag. I keep up with the mag though because it relaxes me, there's no doubt about that.
While there are some advocates of supplements, I am not one of them.
That said, I have tried fish oil, have stopped after a few months with no improvement, and I still take Magnesium - again without any apparent improvement.
You mention blood tests are normal, that's good. Does this mean you have discussed your heart condition with a medical doctor? If not, that would be the best next step in my view.
