Got some results from our GP the other day from the pacer tech report says Stu is pacemaker dependent and  there were 11 episodes of A fib 170+ . Question what have others had in the way of meds or treatment for a fib? Holter results have still not been processed.

My cardio expected I'll get A Fib.  But not so early...   Now, he's wrong!  I didn't have A Fib. Unfortunately, the drugs that he put in has damaged my liver so much...

Thanks, our GP is going to push the cardiologist to see Stu and see what can be done for him. He is back to getting exhausted easily and not wanting to drive etc. The pacer tech says that its not the pacer and after the ablation the cardiologist in Auckland said A Fib was a definate possibility with Stus condition. Yipee!!

I take rythmol for afib.  It worked great for 5 years with no side effects but lately weeks long afib episodes are breaking through.  My cardiologist is talking about putting me on sotolol.

Other meds to be considered are flecainide and amiodarone.

I was told is A fib too.  After a few adjustments, A fib has gone away.  Now I don't have to take any medicine.  As far as I know, there is another person in here posted the A fib could be caused by the pacemaker.  I'm not sure is Stu situation same as us?  Please don't forget to post his holter results here.  Take care.
