I am a 48 years old woman, am menopaused six years ago i.e. when I was 42 yrs... I had a family history of heart attack my father expired at the age of 58 from cardiac arrest...he often used to compalin about chest pain radiating to back for more than one year.
More over I am hypertensive since the last two years...BP 150/100 sometimes 160/110 etc...i have been using atenolol for B.P.

a  month ago i got chest pain, difficulty in breathing pain radiating to left arm, back and feeling a lot of heaviness in the heart, palpitation.  I was advised ECG whose details i am giving below.

heart rate 78 bpm

frontal vectors: P 0.17 mv 70 degrees
QRS 0.90 mV 40 rees
T 0.12 mV 24 degrees
noise 33 uV high
QT dispersion: STD 4 ms Max 10 ms
from 3 out of 6 chest leads
flat T waves in V3, V4, V5 and V6.
QRS-T evaluation: possible inferior yocardial infarction, probably old.(probably abnormal ECG)

Now, when i am working on computer in my office (which involves constant typing...almost thirty pages per day)...which is causing exertion to me, and I am feeling difficulty in breathing, palptation, shooting chest pain on and off....... two years ago my ecg showed normal....now what should I do? please advise.

Are you having another visit with your doctor to discuss your test results? That would be a good start. An EKG printout is just the beginning. You need to talk to your doctor about your family history and what you're feeling recently. Press them for answers that you understand.
