heart beats getting worse and more worrisome

Recently, I wore a 30 day event and my cardiologist said it looked fine, but still prescribed 25mg of a beta blocker for me.  Before I could start the med, I have been noticing small runs of extremely rapid flutters, where I'm checking my pulse, and it just quivers and disappears for about 5-10 seconds, very hard to feel (in my neck) and then it returns to normal basically.  No dizziness or chest pain, just sweating because I'm assuming I am starting to panic a bit after I feel this happen.  After that little flutter, it doesn't even feel like my pulse has really increased all that much, maybe 10 beats a minute or so from the fear.  But for those 5-10 seconds, I can't feel a thing.  Is it my heart beating to fast to feel it?  Does this sound dangerous?

What type of heart beat is this?  From what I read, it seems like it's a form of VT, which I know can be dangerous, although I've felt maybe 3 or 4 of these so far, and nothing bad has really happened.  I am pretty worried now though.  It seems like if I go back to ask for more testing, they'll think I'm nuts.  Thank you.

he may have prescribed a beta blocker if your hr was a little high, you can cause your heart to flutter by worrying about it, you've had a long test done and if he found nothing on that 30 day test stop worrying, worrying will only make it worst then your heart will act up more, everyones heart even normal hearts flutter now and then i wouldnt be worried

Sounds like short runs of paroxysmal a-fib. that's what i have almost daily. they only last seconds for me and then they convert back. its almost impossible to find a pulse during an episode. but after it passes my pulse is a little faster than normal for a few minutes. your doctor won't diagnose it until your having one that is caught either by ekg, some type of event monitor or him listening to your heart and hearing it happen. I've had 2 episodes over a year ago, that lasted around an hour and a half each, and was able to get to the ER during the second one in time for them to catch it on ekg and be diagnosed finally after years of being told that the feeling i was having with my heart was probably anxiety. good luck & god bless
