Hello, your results do not sound very bad. All those PVC's have got to be uncomfortable though!
thank you so much for your help i feel a little better now knowing it's not as bad as it sounds it's great to see that people are here to help thank you and god bless
It always sounds a lot more scary when it's written out.
1st degree AV block is just about always considered benign unless you've already had a heart attack, in which case the doctors will just want to pay a bit more attention to you. What AV block means is that the electrical signal that starts in the upper chambers of your heart (your atria) is slower in getting down to and through your ventricles via your atrioventricular (AV) node. On on ECG this is recognized by a prolonged PR interval.
Having 9,000 PVCs is certainly no fun. I've had as many as 15-20,000 in a day, and so far my doctors are completely unimpressed. Your 52bpm slowest heart rate is technically considered bradycardia, but so long as that 52 was happening when you were at rest or sleeping, there's absolutely no cause for alarm. Mine gets that low every single day. Max heart rate of 130 tells me that either you didn't exercise the day you had the Holter, or you took it easy, or you are in crazy good shape and your heart rate just doesn't get that high because of it.
PACs are like crumbs when eating toast. They're going to happen and they don't mean a thing. The longest R-R interval means the longest amount of time between two contractions of your heart. 1.5 seconds is a fine number given your lowest measured heart rate.
So all in all, you may not be feeling great, but those results would indicate to me that medically you're fine.
Though I try not to, I probably threw a bunch of cardiology jargon at you that may have confused you even more. If you have more questions, please feel free to email me at jeffsskippyheart[at]yahoo[dot]com
