my 25 years old son diagnosed with SVT.He is also suffering weight loss problem.In october 2009 when he was diagnosed with svt his weight was 45 kgs now his weight is 39 kgs only.Almost lost 06 kgs.is this problem related with thyroid malfunctioning or stress or this is linked with choclate,tea and cola drinks.The latest SVT episode was happened 02-05-2110.Pls,pls answer the situation and suggest any test or medication to overcome this problem.
There is only two episodes in last six months.

What typoe of thyroid issue?  Is it hyper, if so weight loss is part of the thyroid disfunction.  Thyroid issues can also cause heart issues.  Caffeine from chocolate and soda, etc can also cause some issues with the heart.  What has his doctors said?  Is he being treated for his thyroid?  Also with weight loss he could have thrown off his magnesuim/potasium levels.  Has he had blood work?  Good Luck getting to the bottom of the issue.

I doubt the weight loss is due to chocolate, tea, or cola.

I could be linked to stress for sure and I have read that some heart condition can have weight loss as a symptom. I'd be more inclinded to think stress but if he's not trying to loose weight he should really talk to a dr if only for the medical record incase it's a symptom and not due to stress.
