what is wrong with me..? sacred me!

i'm grace, 18 and recently i've been feeling what is like palpitations or should i say some episodes of 1 abnormally strong beat or skipped beat. it's not frequent but it surely causes me to discreetly panic. i'm stressed with school work, i'm a nursing student by the way. i'm also having some frequent or from time to time belches and some that are mostly urges to burp but, annoyingly, it doesn't forego. well, i'm overweight but currently, i'm going to the gym to lose some weight. diet doesn't seem to suit me. [my weight has been eratic like a seesaw and i'm on a state of amenorrhea for almost 2months already. some say it's because of hormonal imbalance which usually occurs in teens like me. c:] also, ifeel some rumbling sensation on my stomach sometimes. and when i'm on full stomach, i also experience the full stomach thing. with regards to the palpitation, i also experience some with somewhat tachycardia, whenever i lie on my stomach to do some homework. i don't feel dizzy or faintness whenever i experience these, even shortness of breath.

and, just about 2 weeks ago, i had UTI. i was given zinnat.

how ironic isn't it..? i'm a future medical professional, yet i'm too confused and tensed about my situation. hope to hear some responses from you soon.

hey  anonymous_19,

I have been through what you are describing and I can offer some insight from my experiences.

While I was studying I experienced the same stomach symptoms that you described my doctor informed me that this was due to excess acidity or soemthing along those lines and prescibed me an antacid this relieved my stomach symptoms.

With regards to your palpitations and tachycardia I had the same thing, I would assume they are both stress related from your studies like I had but I progressed to anxiety over the palpitations and tachycardia and eventually got so caught up in thinking something was wrong I had panic attacks.  Find some ways to relax like meditation or yoga and exercise is a good relief and keeps you healthy, study at a desk and keep your bed for sleeping.

I would recommend seeing a doctor about all these things maybe ask for an EKG to rule out anything serious to do with the tachycardia and palpitations because they are normal body reactions under stress hence relaxation techniques help.

GOOD LUCK hope you start to feel better

If you aren't having any other symptoms with the palpitation, and if you are only getting one at a time, then it is probably nothing to worry about.   Palipitations like that are by the vast majority benign.    Get it checked by your doctor though, just to be sure.   As far as the stomach problems go, well I don't really know much about those but it might just have something to do with you being overweight.   Gastro intestinal upset is common in people that are overweight.    Good luck.
