excellent recap. thank you so much!
i might just skip the show all together and let you do this every week. lol
Thanks for clearing that up! I guess I just have 24 on the brain all the time, haha.
You must be thinking of Patricia Wettig who plays Vice President Caroline Reynolds. She gave the speech at the end that she was resigning because of cancer. Kim Ravers plays Audrey. They do look somewhat alike.
Jim I missed the last 15 mins. the last thing I remember is Jack going into the consolutate and then svu getting the call telling them that Jack is in the consulate. I fell asleep during the commercial, I woke up at 10 to the phone ringing. My dad telling me he remembered to watch it.. LOL so fill me in.
me too!. i fell asleep. please fill me in to the last 15 minutes! grrrr....
Jack has Chloe turn off the power grid to the Russian Embassy for a few minutes. While power is off, Jack climbs over fence, enters embassy grounds, handles a security guard by talking in Russian and walks through an unlocked door. He then enters the consuls office, puts a gun to his head and ask him where Grocheko is. Meanwhile the power comes back on too soon and the consulate trips a hidden, emergency alarm. His security forces try to respond but Jack tells them that he has the Consul hostage at gunpoint and to back down. Then Jack calls Bill Buchanan (BB) and tells them he's screwed up. Bill tells Jack to abort his unaurthorized mission. Jack replies that he's not going anywhere until he finds out from the Consul where Grochenko is.
To cut to the chase, Jack borrows the consul's cigar cutter and appears to remove one finger to help jog the consul's memory. Between finger one and two, the consul's memory returns and he blurts out Grochenko's location and gleefully tells Jack that Grochenko will send all three remaining nuclear devices to major American targets within the next two hours using Russian Drone planes.
Meanwhile, the Vice President (I hope you saw that part about the VP taking over while Palmer is unconcious) is informed and his response is basically, "Oh sh*t, Jack had better get the info out of him fast before all h*ll breaks loose diplomatically." At that point he's on the phone with the Russian Prime Minister who is not happy that his consulate has been broken into and his consul is being held hostage and tortured.
At this point, the consul security guards charge consul's office and overpower Jack. The consul whacks Jack the best he can with only nine fingers and Jack is taken into a holding room. Jack, in only a way that happens on "24", is able to convince the security officer that his boss (the consul) is the bad guy and to call Bill Buchanan at CTU. The security officer makes the call to Buchanan but gets a bullet in the head before able to spill the beans.
I think the hour ends here but not sure because I went directly to "Prison Break" after that so may have forgotten something.
Oh, yeah, Buchanan wants to storm the Russian Embassy to get Jack out and the new Vice Pres seems up for the plan. The new Vice Pres is not one of those vacillating Palmer Brother types. He's a pretty scary guy BUT probably the one you want in charge of your country when in two hours three nuclear war heads are set to explode on American soil. However, assuming the crisis is over, probably best put him back in his cage.
Excellent episode. This season is def going over the top. Just hope they don't go too far over and turn it into too much of a comic book.

I don't normally watch Prison Break, but I had the channel on while I was waiting for 24.
She was on it this past Monday, 3/5. Of course, she wasn't really "Audrey" but it was the same actress. (or someone who could be her twin, LOL. Let me know if I'm wrong) She looks like she's on HepC TX for the first half of the show, but by the end of it she looks like "our Audrey". ;))
I thought you were kidding about Audrey. Where/when was she on Prison break. I still have it saved with TIVO.
Excellent narrative, Jim, as always! I missed a little bit in the confusion at the end there, so I'm glad to be able to read the play-by-play.
So, did you see "Audrey" on Prison Break?
UNBELIEVABLE. Hate to say it but I think the Vice Pres might be what the country needs to get hold of the nukes. None of the back and forth consernation of Pres Wade Palmer, may he recover in peace :) Audrey on Prison Break...oh..no...I got it TIVO'd so will check that out now. Can you believe our man Jack cutting off fingers of the Russian consul. LOL. What a season...
I didn't get the local channels on my sat package so if it's on the networks, I don't see it. Let me know if the world blows up.
I think I like this Logan better than last season's Logan.
Oh, boy, poor Tom...he can't catch a break, can he?
Guess what? I found Audrey!!! She defected to Prison Break! hahaha
