Last year this time I too was txing and wasn't going to do any of it. Actually spent Thanksgiving in bed sick, and my kids went to a freinds house. I was going to pass on Christmas too, but a week before got feeling like I needed to put up a tree, and snap out of my bah humbug. Glad I did, but I totally understand where you're at. Just do what you can do.
Best wishes!
I was going through tx last Holiday Season. I chose not to participate. All of my family met at my In-Laws for both Holidays while I stayed home in bed. Sure it was depressing but the depression was better than the stress and anxiety of trying to participate. My family understood. With you being a mother, I am sure you feel more obligated. This is just food for thought. Only you know what will be the right choice for you.
Who-ha: I'm willing to be sporting about Thanksgiving
Christmas?!
As in Christmas Tree and Christmas Shopping?
Even shopping on line seems cumbersome.
Now is the time most of the free shipping and good discounts are offered
That can make a big difference with some items due to the sales tax in my state
Don't get me started....
I understand completely! I have always loved holidays and this year I am hesitant to go out and do much of anything. I have no desire to shop for XMAS. Part of it is the economy but it is also the lights and crowds now. 9 out of 10 times I regret going out esp. in PM and wish I was home in bed.
