The first time I did tx, there was little food I could tolerate. A friend brought me a cheesecake for my birthday. I ate the whole thing. After that I ate a cheesecake a week for the rest of tx~ it was the best part of tx for me.
Eat and enjoy.
Hehheh, you go Girl! Like Idyllic pointed out somewhere on here, I d get aversions to foods, so I just make a slight shift, week by week.
When I first started on Tx, I was craving high protein foods, which also helped to curb my nausea. I was eating lots of peanut-butter on toast.
Now I cant even look at peanut-butter, in my 14th week.
The Ribavirin is also said to be better absorbed with fat, so now I dont feel guilty about whole milk dairy products (uhh...cream pies, etc)
I havent gained THAT much weight, by doing this, even though I am exercising less. When I used to diet, if I deprived myself of these goodies, I would loss about 5 pounds. Now, I have what I want, it's very important to eat well, while on Tx, and I have gained about 5 pounds. My clothes still fit.
I do drink silk chocolate milk. That has lots of fat. You can also
keep in singles without ref. I have never looked for stuff with high
fat. Never ever looked at the fat contents of pizza!!!! Never ate the
stuff. I gag at the thought of drinking olive oil. This is interesting.
I do no one thing..... nobody living here is going to touch that pie : ).
One Pie = 210 grams of fat... omg :)
Oh man. I love pie crust. Just think what it would have been like if Incivek needed lots and lots of carbs for absorption. I suspect there would be a lot of chubby people on here . .including me!
I ate lots of salmon in the beginning. But I eat lots of salmon anyway so that got old.
Then I stumbled up this organic walnut butter. It was great in the beginning but now I gag every time I see the jar in the fridge.
Of all the fats I learned about during the Incviek stage Almond Milk is the one I still incorporate in my diet. 35 calories, no milk sugar carbs, lots of protein and calcium and 3 or 4 grams of fat...sign me up!!
Oh, and low carb vanilla ice cream. Man it was incredible.
Plus, there's always walnuts and almonds and foods prepared in olive oil.
that claim jumpers stuff is good...but soooo much fat, ha...maybe it should be marketed for the INC users...
