Just a share to my old friends and any new ones that I make along my journey.
I am Geno 1b without signs of cirrhosis fibrosis stage 2. mild inflammation. (biopsy 4/2013)
I have finally located a hepatologist / GI doctor that, for some "God Send" reason has brought his practice out of a big city, to a small town hospital which is now owned by one of, if not the best hospital in my state of Indiana.
My enzymes are on the rise. Not enough to top the charts as so many others. It is although, a wake up call that I need to get a handle on this now!
It has been a step that I knew I needed to take but, connecting the dots, constant monitoring, labs and questions, plus working with a darn good regular MD who never refused to help me, because I was determined to help myself and like many know the darn insurance requirements was rough.. but I finally did it, might be a tiny step but, in the right direction.. AND did I mention this forum? Sure did keep me focused..
I could very well have left myself open to the group that just forgets... But, I was not going to be "just another one" to let it go. It can kill you. Might not be "Just Because" you have been diagnosed with Hep C... but, the ignorance of not doing something about it after you know you have it..? That played on me tremendously.
It could open the gateway to many other complications associated with it. I called it that, the Big Bang Reality. Personally, I have so many other digestive conditions that I have made livable that I certainly did not want to give up now. That is like shooting yourself in the foot...
Well, here goes the typing, collecting and form filling... but it is time.. ProActiveness...!!
It won't be fun.. doing that, but not doing that.. would be worse, Yep, sure would..
Will need many hands to hold on to Thanks for the ear
