Get your full set of hep A and B shots. Coming down with either on top of HCV can be serious. I never bothered with a flu shot while doing IFN or the year after - always have before and since.
I was advised to get the flu shot. I get it every year anyway coz up until Jan., 2007 I worked with hundreds of kids.
I've also done the hep A and 2 of the hep B vaccines.
My PCP said I should get the pneummonia shot but think I'll hold off on that. Now that I'm around very few kids (or adults, for that matter) i can't imagine i'd come down with that.

When i was a child...my brother and sisters got the chicken pox...my immune system used to be quite powerful...no pox on me. Is there a shingles vac? I heard that's a nightmare...and that those who never got the chicken pox are more succeptible?
How did it go in court?...and are you ok?
have had shingles once. Let me tell you, its nothing you want.
yeah, i was advised to do the same. I had already gotten my hepa/b vaccination many years ago and thank God, because the rapist had THOSE TOO. But I did go and get the flu vaccine. I didn't really get all that sick with it thankfully. The entire family went, my dad, stepmom, and grandmother. All of us schlepped it down to the health dept for the flu shot. Was advised to get the pneumonia shot as well, waiting for someone around here to offer them.
I think the general idea is get rid of as many possible severe things as possible, even if you do need to do some boosters while treating, because were you get the full blown disease while on tx it would be far far worse, that's the general consensus.
Now for whatever reason they did not think getting the shingles vaccine was a good idea,,,,so there may be more risk involved there that I'm not read up on, But the others, yes do get. the last thing you need is another liver virus or a bad flu/lung infection. It's all preventative to head off at the pass things that can occur and make us much sicker than the average bear if and when they do.
