Hahahhaha! Had both, Prograf definitely better tolerated! :-)
Magnum; Hahahahaha! Too funny :o)! You make me want to go out and get pickled now!
Yuk—sure, it’s my pleasure!
Cando—I’d do almost anything for a bowl of ice cream; including, in fact, modeling that mankini Portann mentioned earlier… :)
I would pick you but it's out of my hands. Hands down you should be picked. Pick yourself up and give it a second try. You never know, you could be picked. And remember, you can pick a peck of pickled peppers, but you can’t pick Bill... or something like that.
Magnum
thank you Bill - I never had a "best answer" before. I feel special now.
Want to trade best answerer for some icecream?
Hahaha, so that’s how it works, Deb? I’m not worried… I’m on the verge of getting my Platinum Series stars anyway :o)!
Bill
It's OK bill you just have to pick one of your friends then have them post something and pick you back......... ;)
Hehehe! for sure, FlGuy :o)!
Bill,
It's good to see that people will tell the truth, when forced to do so !
Aha! They don't allow us to pick ourselves; I wonder why :o)?
Huh; I just got a note from Medhelp telling me to pick a 'best answer for this thread, so I guess I'll put this note in, and select myself :o). Thanks for the updates and good thoughts--
Bill
A second chance how true, and I believe but dont live up to it that every day is a second chance.
before I learned I had hcv I never really knew of anyone who had it. It's now amazing how many people have this. Especially, the well-known celebrities.
Thanks for the update. That is awesome news! Both the wedding and the touring, but especially the touring =D
I wonder how long ago he had the transplant, he has a concert schedule out here in California soon.
I think what he meant be dormant is tyat he had no symptoms for a long time and then it finally hit him, being tired and stuff.
I remember reading he was treating, apparently it didn't work.
He's quoted as saying 'the disease was laying dormant for awhile and just kind of crept up on me. I was worn out. I had to sleep 10 or 11 hours a day to play two or three (hours). It's just one of those things that sneaks up on you and will just kind of ride you for as long as you don't know you have it."
I don't get the laying dormant thing. I mean the man can certainly afford the best hepatologists in the world and we all know the virus doesn't just lay dormant unless he's referring to the the time between contracting the virus and when he was diagnosed. But still, he should have his facts and terminology correct and have learned about his disease. He must have been cirrhotic before going into treatment. If indeed he didn't SVR, I sure hope he tries tx again at some point so he can save that new liver.
I do wish him the best and I know what it feels like to be tied to the whipping post.

Gregg Allman- I'm No Angel
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEP_dPN3Haw&feature=related
I saw them years ago on the East Coast when the Eagle were playing as a warm up band - can you believe it!
I wonder if Cher had Hep C?
Gosh, I hope he gets better. I love those guys and they play at Jazz Fest a lot. They played this year.
In the ironic vein (yeah, yeah I know) the Allmans, after their peak in earlier 70's, came out with an instrumental several years later called "Pegasus". I'm looking forward to the group re-grouping and updating their repertoire with a new song tentatively titled "Prograf".
I'm really happy for him.
Gregg was groggy yesterday but is alert today and is up and walking around some. His doctors think he could be well enough to be back touring by November. Great to hear he is doing well!
Gregg's doctors also said he should be up and around in time to attend his daughter Island's wedding in late July, and Gregg says it is his dream to be able to walk her down the aisle. All you Dads with daughters can definitely relate to that.
