Happy Birthday to me!
Just wanted to let you all know that today is a good day. After being diagnosed with liver cancer on September 5th of last year, and awaiting a transplant, I wasn't sure if I would make it to my 27th birthday. Well here I am!!! I am still struggling with symptoms and doctors not knowing what the heck is going on, but thanks to all of you I have some really good questions for them when I go back to the doctor in December. It's all a little bittersweet... This is year ten of knowing that I have Hep C, and one more year of living with the disease. But hey, I'd rather be living with it than not living at all. Ok, that is my little horray for today speech. Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Thanks very much for the birthday wishes. The beautiful little girl I am holding is my niece Olivia. She is 4 months old now. She makes me happy. :) I am back to work part time, about 20 hours a week. They started me on a stimulant (Adderall) for the extreme fatigue, and I am able even to work a few 8 hour shifts! That drug is wonderful, except on the days I don't take it I am sleepy all day long. So, not much different than before! I love my job and it feels so good to be back, even if it is part time. I am taking care of triplets right now. They are so much fun!
