A PRAISE REPORT!!!!!

Hey guys,
     Some of you may have remembered a couple of days ago posting about whether anyone's liver functions went up while doing tx like my were doing.  Well because I am coinfected with HIV as well I have to for the first month have weekly labs done, and today I got my second week labs back and for me it was great news!!!  Below you will find before tx, 1 week labs, and now 2 week labs....

Before tx:
ALT: 373
AST: 170
BILIRUBIN: 1.6

1st week labs:
ALT: 416 ( GOING UP???  )  REALLY DISCOURAGED AND CONCERNED HERE...:(
AST: 126
BILIRUBIN: 1.0

2nd week labs:
ALT: 181 ( STILL HIGH BUT COMING DOWN!!!!!! :)
AST:  75  ( STILL HIGH BUT COMING DOWN!!!!!!  :)
BILIRUBIN: 1.2  ( IN THE NORMAL RANGE :)

You have to understand for those of us taking HIV meds that are toxic, but helpful, AND fighting the HCV virus with this tx.  THIS IS WONDERFUL NEWS FOR ME....!!!  I JUST WANTED TO SHARE THIS PRAISE REPORT WITH YOU GUYS!!!!!  I was beginning to think that maybe this tx wasn't working for me even after just being on it for just three weeks/injections with my ALT going up!!!!  Yes they are still high, but I'll take these numbers.  Next week I get VL test done on the HIV and HCV to make sure that I am still on the right path.  Thank you all for your support and prayers...stand and see that the Lord He is good!!!!

That's great news. My labs never move as quickly in the right direction as I'd like them to but it's the direction that really count. And yours are moving at a pretty good pace and in the right direction too. Good luck. Mike
