Missed dose of Riba

I'm 17/53 and missed my dose of Riba last night.  Can't reach the Hepatologist.

Anyone have any suggestions?  I usually take my Riba at 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Forgot the 10 p.m dose until 7a.m.....

many people on forum have done this. I'm not sure of the answer tho, I have read some just forget about it and others work it back in, but not all at once. But don't listen to me, cuz I'm not 100% sure. Someone will see your post and maybe give you the advice that their doc gave them.

It's best if you get one of those pill boxes from the drug company, marked for each day of the week AM and PM.

Its a life saver for me because I do not remember if I took my pills an hour after I took them, so I am constanly checking the pill box,,then My husband checks it every night too cuz he knows I am walking around in a daze all the time from brain fog.

Don't stress it. Riba has a long half life - it accumulates and dissipates slowley, so there shouldn't be much worry. The official medical line is skip it - but most here would add a pill or so to each dose to get caught back up. It might also depend on how your hgb is doing, low hgb I'd be inclined to skip - high hgb I'd probably slam an extra dose mid day.

You're fine.

Curious, how'd you arrive at the number 53?

As Goofy said, the official line is to just skip it, however, I personally always made up any forgotten riba either at the next dosing or spread it out over the next day or so which probably is more important early-on in treatment.

Thanks very much guys - I will take a dose now, and then another at 10.

To answer the 53 weeks question = I took an experimental drug + peg + riba for 5 weeks, and am now doing another 48 of just the peg & riba.

Thanks again!
