I smoked alot more when I was younger, for sure. But when stress is over-riding, a couple small tokes can help, and I make sure to do some exercise after "studying"
Personal studies is high stress levels causes high blood pressure and over eating. Bring down the level of stress in your life and not only does your blood pressure come down....so does your weight. Smoking pot is clearly
one way you can bring down stress levels in your life. I've never known a pot smoker who was really stressed about much of anything. Bring down life stressors and with it comes sugar levels, high blood pressure and your weight. Where did the funding come from to do this study? Let me guess...
Humboldt County Growers Association ; ).
There was a recent story on the local news that said that, contrary to popular belief, most pot smokers are at normal weight and blood pressure. It said that more study was needed. They should just ask me, I weigh the same as I did when I was in high school and I don.t have to squeeze into 30" waist either. I do not get the munchies and I love to run when I am doing my "studies". It is nothing like the Cheech and Chong movies, but they are funnier when I am doing a "study" while watching them. Keep the studies up...Mark
The Candy-Man can, cause he mixes everything, and makes the world taste good, hah~
When I think of the small group of fogies that I take a morning toke with,
up at the coffee-shop corner, come to think of it, none of us are over-weight.
Good idea i will check the kitchen pantry for some sticks!
Maybe you can just smoke some cinnamon. You won't need a prescription
and I think it's cheaper. : )
Well like I always say smoke em if you got em...:)
Besides I knew a pot thread would bring out OH.
Susan, how the heck you doing girl besides waiting? I so can't wait to see the day you are SVR..... Best always.
Well if my sugar ever gets out of whack i will tell my GP that Dr. Cando said to write me a script!
I agree!! I've been doing the cinnamon for years and I've never had any blood sugar issues. I sprinkle it in my coffee auto-drip basket and I take the supplement cinnamon capsules. My doctor was fine with it and liked the way my blood sugar looked. Supposedly, it's also good for blood presure. My Dad was borderline type II, I got him started on the cinnamon and now his A1C's have been normal for years, his blood sugar is in normal range and an added benefit, he was able to stop 2 out of the 3 B.P. pills he was on and on the 1 pill that he still was on, he was able to go to a 1/2 a dose. This is because his blood pressure kept on getting lower. Cinnamon (when you are still under a doctor's care I need to add..), is alot healthier than taking a bunch of prescribed meds and has less side effects, too. However, don't be like the silly teens who were playing the cinnamon challenge game; you're not supposed to just eat a giant spoonful of cinnamon!! That's not the way it's supposed to be done. Hmmm, maybe that explains my low glucose levels.
What I am convinced helps to lower sugar levels is cinnamon.
I agree with Susan. I never met a pot smoker who didn't get the munchies and always for chocolate, cake and pies. The all night bakery in town used to do a roaring trade round about 3am. Probably how half the town got diabetes.

That's surprising to me as, all I've ever wanted to do when I was smoking the funny cigarette-weed-pot-toke...., I always gotten the munchies!
