Nioxin causing redness and skin irritation

Has anyone experienced a problem with using Nioxin for the hair loss, causing skin irritation and redness and itching.  I wash my hair in the sink when I use the Nioxin, so it's not affecting my whole body.  However, it is affecting my skin on my face and neck.  Susan400

This same thing has happened to me twice. The first time I used it I didn't notice anything. Th second time I noticed what you are describing but I was not sure ti was the Nioxin, so I tried it one more time and let it run a little, and boom, my neck got red right were the Nioxin ran down. I am afraid it might be happening in my scalp, and I cannot see it. I put Benadryl cream on it and it went away.

Yes I just started with Nixon 5 shampoo and conditioner and on both occasions within 10 minutes have broken out in a red ras and hives on my neck and shoulders. Took Benadryl once but am thinking of discontinuing my use of these products.

Nioxin used to be a good product but like other companies they changed the formulation. I liked the original

I just had the exact same thing happen with the serum.  It may have been the first time it had run down my face but there is a red stripe down the side of my face and a round mark on my neck.  I think it has probably been doing this on my scalp but I thought the tingling feeling was the product working.  No more Nioxin now that I see what it has done to my face!
