HCV & no sex drive

I've read of problems but haven't encountered anyone on these boards or the other site I frequent having much discussion on this topic but I feel it's a very important issue...I'm late 50's - female. Diagnosed about 10 years ago - have gradually just lost me sex drive. It now has dwindled to pretty much nothing. What is the experience of you all in this? Has anyone found anything to help? My husband tries to be supportive but I don't think he ever imagined he'd be giving up on sex at our relatively young age. We are both in good general health - I just have totally lost interest. Have not done tx. Thought about trying DHEA but after some research decided it was too risky for the liver. Also heard testosterone helps but again is hard for the liver to clear. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I have to strongly agree that taking care of babies is the very best form of birth control. LOL

LoL... not really funny... but it is a rather sensative subject...

Happened to me... but it was due to my TX, & quickly resolved itself afterward... well... up until I got custody of my grandchild... then for some reason it went right back out the window..... Soooooooo, Maybe STRESS RELATED???? Just a Thought!

My sex drive sucks since tx. Just going thru the motions to keep the hubby satisfied. (Week 19/48) I'm glad this is only temporary. Im wondering tho if one of my new years resolutions might help. Not only did I quit smoking..I stopped wearing underwear LOL The hubby seems turned on by that. I know...TMI! LOL

My sex drive is making me crazy.  I think I'm allowed to put my email address, its ***@****  The Yvona part is no longer in service so theres a space open if you have one. Dig it?  My other email ad. {oh here we go again with the ads} has my last name and just the sounding of the name throws paople into a far away dimension.

Since you aren't doing tx, try **** kwai. You may be able to find the root in either Asian shops or health food stores. It is a lubricant of sorts.You may want to look at a book on menopause for some other suggestions.
