Lucky you! What a lovely town. I have been up there several times but never to the Grove Park Inn. One day! :-)

Yes, I understand. I was feeling really achey all the time and at night wondered if I was getting "restless leg syndrome" on top of everything else...legs and joints hurt a lot and the only relief was to move positions and shoot the legs out now and then. Hubby is sound sleeper so it didn't bother him but the dog got annoyed sometimes. ;-)
I didn't want to take a lot of other meds during tx (I just figure the more that has to metabolize through the liver has got to stress it more) so I was going easy on the tylenol etc. Now I take it as needed and as a preventive on shot night and the next day.
In general, the aches and pains have eased considerably; I think my body has adjusted to the tx now. I also think that since I had to stop exercising for the most part this summer, that also contributed to the muscle pain, stiffness etc. but it couldn't be helped. Now that it is cool again and I am feeling better, I am walking outside more and almost feel somewhat normal.
I haven't had any depression either, even tho I have had some in past years, so that has been a true blessing. Hey, I cry at the Publix holiday dinner commercials (do you have those?) but you're right, it's a good emotion. :-)
Hope your sx eases soon!

PS - I used to live near Greensboro and my honey lived out near Morehead City for a while. Nice place that NC coast and I love the mountains too! What part of state do you live?

Its seems to be getting harder on me..I ache so bad at night its hard to sleep,so i get up and take a nice real hot bath and it makes me crash and also helps with join pain in legs.. I ignore my sx alot cause iam gonna beat this mess one way or another..Iam very positive no matter what it i dont get it this time i will the nxt..best part i havent had any depression so far.. I cry more if i watch heart warming movies.. and get so happy for them..LOL..sounds dumb huh..lol gotta run and u take care and i wil lpray for ya..
Robin makes a good point about some of the things to avoid. I would add CAFFINE to the list of things to avoid. I was a 2 pot a day coffee drinker now 1 cup can ruin my day.
How far into tx are you? I didn't really have that bad sx early on (as some people do) but at about 4 mos the fatigue got *really* bad and lasted for a couple of months. I'm at 9.5 mos now and am feeling pretty good most of the time.
I was traveling a lot at that time and that took a big toll even when I was trying to take it easy. I finally had to just stay home and rest more, and I eventually got through it.
And yes, lots of aches - that is def a sx. All those flu like symptoms are typical - achey body, upset stomach, headache etc. My heart beat is also weird (sometimes more rapid and sometimes pounds some but that's also a common sx). I hate that feeling also but I just ignore it and it goes away!
Some of these helped me after I figured them out :-) ...take tylenol for a day or two after shot even if you don't think you need it (I was like "nah, I'm fine" and wasn't!). Drink more, more, more water, cut out the artificial sweetners (nutrasweet, etc.), try a nap or even just a quiet rest during the day, and try visualizing you being calm, healthy, and vibrant. And take some deep breaths.
Hope you feel better soon!

WoW!! Gatlinburg I love it there. Have all of the leaves fallen? I live about 3hrs. away we still have some leaves thanks to the rain a few weeks ago. With it being so dry over the summer I thought they would just change colors and fall off. I am on week 8 of tx and sometimes I get that gassy feeling in my chest also. I also sometimes feel like the room or area around me is closing in on me. I was at lunch a couple weeks ago after church. The restruant was very busy and I felt like I could not breath in there. I went outside for some fresh air and felt better in a little while. I have found that beiing as active as tx allows helps as long as it is not too much. The too much will get you a day or so later. Make sure to tell your Dr. everything even if you think oh it is just a sx. God Bless keep up the fight.
