Hi Crayon! Cute name ;). No I'm not taking blood clotting meds.
Please explain the significance, I'm interested!!
Peace
Deb
Thanks community! Great thread, yeah my Hepa appt is on the 9th and definitely asking. Some articles say platelets others say liver damage. I'm stage 3-4 with sm amount of fibrosis.
Guess I'll find out in a few days. Then after my 6 months gonna address the carnage from the Interferon, fingers crossed
BTW, ever since I did Rx my irregular heartbeat is gone! Don't know if it's related...
Best to all
Deb
Here's the list of sides for Riba

and the spot thing is def on that list - as well as more than 70 others! Yikes!
Hope you get that nasty stuff out of your body soon, now that it has done its work
We went through the spider thing on another thread. Hey hope your hanging in there. Dee told us you survived the storm. I don't know you but have read so many of your posts .....I feel like I do. Can't help wondering how your doing.
Best to you
I am wondering if your liver has any damage? Spider angiomas can pop up on your trunk if you have cirrhosis. Mine are only small spots and I didn't know that's what they were till my doc told me.
Hi I have cherry colored dots as well as dots with squiggles. I was told it was a sign of liver damage. I don't know if you have same. Just sharing what blood specialist said. Dee :)
Are you taking anti clotting meds? Your doctor probably will want to do some labs to see if your blood is too thin. you need to let him know. good luck to all. we just have to hang in there , would be so nice to not have hcv anymore
Hi DWBH!

Deb
Hi Deb, DWBH has given you great answer.
Are the dots red?...or more of a cherry color? Are they on your upper/lower body?
Just trying to help
I do think you should show to your doctor when you go back.
I found the following link that might be helpful. I also read that these pin size red dots can be connected to low platelets.
