So I'm sitting in Memphis last weekend

Travel log, Memphis..stardate, during the nor'easter this past weekend. Well I flew to Memphis last friday, did the family visiting thing and worked myself into a panic. My fear was my return flights would get cancelled on Sunday due to the Nor'easter in the NE, and I only had enough riba to get me through monday. Called Speciality Scripts emergency number and within an hour received a return call. Told me not to panic, they could fedx drugs to me wherever I was. Can't say enough about these guys, they are fanstatic. Received a voicemail sunday from them just checking up on me, they went so far as to check my flights to make sure I had gotten home..As it turns out, while in Memphis I called a Walgreens, low an behold(and unexpected) they had riba there and gave me a 3 day emergency supply..$148..ouch! (G)...Sometimes I think the pharmacists know more than the doctors!

So to finish the story. I fly back to the northeast, a bit of a bumpy ride, but plane was on time, landed sunday eve at 7:30. Catch the shuttle back to the free hotel parking and let out a gasp of relief, I made it...The relief was shortlived (G). I let the diesel truck warm up a bit, quick stop at Mcdonalds for two burgers and 4 ribas (G) and head off in the pouring rain, then sleet, then heavy fog and finally major snow. Put the big dog in 4 wheel drive and let it hunt, making it home in 3 hours from the airport..So I get home(11:00, had to blast my way through the snow bank at the end of the driveway and skidded to a stop...No relief yet, can't get into my house until I snowblow a path to the front door, which has 6 ft of snow in front of it (metal roof on the house, it sheds!) all in the by now pouring rain..Finally in the door, relief...not yet, house is 42 degrees and I'm to tired to start the woodstove, so go to turn on the wallmount propane heater, nothing. Vent is blocked on the outside of the house so it won't work...Get my boots on, head outside in the pouring rain to dig out the exhaust vent!!!, now it's midnight..I said screw it, went to bad with my cloths on, and 2 down comforters!...What a freaking trip, all this from a guy who has spent the last 5 months on the couch!!

'quick stop at Mcdonalds for two burgers and 4 ribas' .  That stuff will make you sick as a dog.  The riba won't make you feel so good either.  If the house was 42, how was the Peg?

Peg was in the fridge, so it was fine..Of course during all my panic thinking in Memphis, the thought of a power outage here at home did cross my mind (g)..All said, even though it was a rough trip, was fun to see my folks for their 50th wedding anniversary and a few relatives.....Not to mention dinner at BB Kings restaraunt on Beale st. !  Heck, they even had BBQ joints in the airport,  Elvis and Sun Records shops as well. Quite an airport (g)
Mom was floored that I made the trip...She told me I looked good, I said what did you expect(sarcastically), she said she expected me to look sick!!!

Sounds like a great time. I've been wondering how your trip went, and how the golden anniversary went.
How did your parents end up in a lovely southern state, while you are in the artic region? Is the sister in Mephis too?
