Fluocinonide gel helps some but it is a steroid and needs a prescription.
forgot to mention I only had to use this for a few days ..it settled down to the point were I dint feel I need it any longer and even tho it was just an oral rinse I was still a little concerned with the absorbing it.. ...make sure you ok it with your treating doc if you choose to try it.

OLP..is a a known symptom (altho rare) of HCV..and usually made worse from the meds
I had it on the mild side before tx. then if flared up some when I was treating. An oral surgeon that was very familiar with OLP prescribed (with the ok from my Hepa) a mixture to swish around in my mouth and spit out 3 times a day and it settled things down greatly.'
The ingrediants were Nystatin + Dexamethasone + tetracycline and Benadryl My hepa was not too concerned with the ingrediants as it was just swished around and spit out.. having said that he said use it as little as possible and not any longer than absolutely nesesaary ..like any drug.
Good luck
