Shot Number 60/63

Haven't been in for a while, mostly just lurking.  Took the long way round on tx, Roche Trial 15 weeks (1/2 dose thanks for nothing Mr Roche), then 48 nearly done. Cleared at week 4/5 on SOC and clear to date as far as anyone can tell.  Will be great to get some type of life back and has been a long and at times diffuclt journey. Hopefully the additional tx and PI will assist with my chances of SVR.  No regrets apart from puting too much hope into a phase II trial. 3 to go cant wait. Emi

Thank you both for your well wishes. Kristina, yes still working full-time and way too much.  Trish I probably owe you an email sorry I have been a bit slack with my posting.  My fingers are crossed for you for PCR results.  I think they test at EOT, 12 and 24 but I'm considering forgoing my EOT and doing 4 week post. Having our first hint of winter down here, so enjoy the warmth.  Take care Emi

Hiya Emi, how time flies.  Wow .. you're 3 weeks from done.  And I'm waiting on results from my final PCR, should be in this week.  I got half dose of the Peg too, Emi - if that makes you feel any better.  Seems your virons really liked it there and didn't want to let go.

I'm glad to know you're almost done - I'll be looking for your PCR results post treatment.  When does your doc do the tests - the 4, 12 and 24 or ?

Take care, Emi.  I'll be thinking of you.

Trish

Way to go Emi!

I've just finished too, today was my first non-drug day!  To be honest it wasn't much different from previous interferon induced saturdays (slight fever, dehydration, dizziness etc) but the mental freedom was supreme.  No having to eat at exactly the same time, and wash my pills down with 240mls of water.  No more flushing from the pills and overwhelming weariness!  No doubt it will take some time getting back to full speed but so long as I can see small improvements each day I'll be happy.  And of course getting to SVR...

I was also on a Roche trial for a PI, 28 days of R7128 with SOC at full dose, went UND at 4 weeks also. Was it the same drug you had?  I also extended treatment period after the trial...

Hope your last 3 just fly by!  All the best!

Epi :)
