UNDETECTED - Week 4 blood draw Sovaldi + SOC

I am IN SHOCK!   This being my 11th treatment, I seriously was beginning to wonder if I'd ever hear those beautiful words.  Can you believe that in all these years and all these different treatments, I've never, ever received a viral load of undetected.  WELL, today I heard those beautiful words for the first time ever and I feel so happy that I want to scream or cry, I can't decide which!   I am realistic though, I know that this is just the first step, but it's so encouraging and helps me with getting though the rest of the treatment with the side effects, to have heard those words.  I take shot 5 tonight.      It makes me feel chills!

Fantastic! Some more good news. I called Gilead's support path today. I don't qualify for Medicaid and I have no insurance. I live in a state which has not expanded Medicaid. Gilead will pay for the treatment.12 or 24 weeks. I've started my application and I'm waiting for the new combinations to come out this fall. There is no way I could have afforded $84,000.

Good luck on your 8-week labs. I saw a post related to them on the treatment side. I could empathize so much. I was nervous every time I had a PCR during treatment. At the end of treatment I had the usual EOT PCR, another 30 days later, the 24-Week (SVR labs) and another done one year post treatment. I was so OC about it. And nervous and scared every time.

I just couldn't believe treatment worked and I was free of the giant black cloud I imagined over my head.

I wish that for you and I am glad you are taking less harsh meds than the PIs.
