Off to the races

Well, today's a big day for me. I am off in an hour to UNC to see my hepatologist to talk about starting tx. Hopefully when I come back I can post all my info.
I was diagnosed 3 years ago and have decided to proceed with treatment.
I'm a little scared (guess I'd be dumb if I weren't) but this forum has been so informative for me.
I think all of you are very brave and I am thankful y'all are here.

The anticipation of tx was hard for us all. Once you get started alot of the anxiety will lift and even if you have some sx to deal with at least you'll know your on your way to svr. Hopefully you will breeze right through tx. I can't believe my next shot is #17 already.

Wishing you the very best. Keep us posted,

You'll be fine Irishpal believe me if I can do it (being the big baby I am) for 72 weeks - you can handle standard treatment like a breeze (well maybe not quite but I just want you to know...keep a positive attitude and act like you're going to war and kill those suckers) and you will!

I think that UNC is a trial site for some clinical trails.  If so, and depending on treatment recommendations, you might want to try to walk away with a contact name/phone number in the Trial Coordinator Dept.  The doc may have some recommendations too.
