The first shot wasn't as bad as i thought but with the riba every day some symptoms can't be ignored. The one that's bug'n me the most is itching.............everywhere. Also have a site reaction without inflammation. Has anyone had lymph node enlargement nearest to injection site? I did right thigh and right groin lymph node is pretty big and sore.

Itch is a b**** :)  I got the itch pretty bad, but no site rashes. I have been injecting in the belly (I have a very convenient numb spot there due to surgery  :)  

I think Valium/Xanax would definitey make the sides easier to bear, but depression can be very serious and can lead to termination of Tx, or worse. I hope you can work out the right meds with the md.

This is common I take the shot in the belly the site reactions help me keep track of the weeks. LOL On me they last about 3 weeks start small day after shot and get up to the size of a peach before they start to go away. It really freaked me out the 1st couple times I called the dr. and made them see me. As allways get your dr. in the loop.

My God, there is other life out there! LOL Hi!!!! Thanks for the tip. My reaction site is getting worse by the day and now it's given birth to a new rash about 3 inches diagonal to the first one. Shot 2 tonight. I truely feel for you to take this **** for 72 weeks. You could give me better tips on coping. My Dr is freaking because my primary care doc is testing out anti-depressants on me and I keep quitting them due to the zombi sides. I say give me a zanax or valium instead of trying to change my brain function after 49 yrs. This is as normal as I get so why change now? I realize the meds cause worsened depression but D*mn give me a valium or zanax LOL.

Unfortunately the site injection rash is a very common thing but luckily for you right now it's winter time coming.....I can't even tell you how miserable I was not wearing shorts during my last summer on tx - but after 72 weeks they were nasty, even though I went up as far as I could I still felt like I looked monstrous.

Make sure you really cover yourself several times a day with a good thick moisturizing lotion (like Gold Bond Triple Threat Anti Itch Medicated...green bottle, red top) it will help with the rash alot.  Once the rash goes away DONT STOP using the lotion though...or it will come right back.

Ive been having fat with the Riba . Just no appetite. Looks like I will lose plenty of weight unnless appetite returns. I dont want to lose any weight..oh well.
Being that you know how to give injections maybe try to change to the belly? Maybe it will be better?
keep in touch and lets hang in there. Its going to be a long haul.

I've been giving shots for 18 yrs. It isn't technique. I've heard alot of people say eat something high in fat with the riba. My favorite is icecream. It'll help to keep you from losing too much weight.

We are all so different. I dont have any site rash. My stomach is not grreat and I feel like I will never have an appetite again. Eating yogurt, chocolate milk and nutrigrain bars. Maybe you jabbed yourself too hard when givng yourself the injection?
Me knows the worst is coming too. lol
I just feel stoned and not in a good way.

so Good to hear from you! I'm real crappy today already, literally LOL. Stomach cramps and all. i got that site rash. Just wondering if everywhere I give a shot I'll have a big red spot? Getting muscle spasms here, there and everywhere. Abdominal pain. But still not as bad as I thought. Me thinks the worse is yet to come. My daughter just told me I was yelling in my sleep last night for about an hour. Says it's the second time it happened since tx started.

I didnt feel symptoms till the next day which were  pretty crappy. Havent had itching...but have no appetite whatsoever.  No itching.  The shot gave me symtpms of nausea and my head felt like I was floating and not in a good way.Pretty sweaty too.
