Sudden Bp elevation from controlled srate

My BP is well controlled with a single daily dose of an ACE inhibitor . I am 67, fit, active and healthy. Recently I have experienced occasional rapid increase in BP noticed when I am resting, and it is associated with sweating and the whole episode starts to return to normal after 10-15 minutes. Any ideas?

Hi there. Im wondering how you can tell if your BP is going up like this? Are you measuring it a number of times for comparison?. Or is it your heart rate at rest that you feel going faster? I have lots of experience of high BP, but unless its up at 180+ , its hard to notice, unless its measured. So I am only guessing about whats going on. In any case im not a doctor.  You should get it all  evaluated by your doctor. The sweating could have a number of causes, but best to get checked out soon. keep us posted
