hi.

I bought a home blood pressure monitor and my reading is at a value which says I could have stage 1 hypertension. I have never been diagnosed with high blood pressure and it has been like this for 1 1/2 of a day. How long until i go see a doctor?

I think you should monitor your blood pressure for at least 1 month before you start worrying to much. Everyone's blood pressure fluctuates and only taking a couple of readings can not say for certain if you are at stage 1 hypertension. Take and record your readings everyday for 1 month and then you will be able to see what your average pressure is. Also when you do go see your doctor for whatever reason, you can show him or her your results.
