Dear Dr.
I have recently discovered about 4 extremely small genital warts, had them treated via cryotherapy 3 days ago, and I will return in a month for a second treatment if required.
My first question is regarding HPV and genital warts immunity. I have read several responses from both doctors (which were very helpful) but I still have a question regarding future pregnancy and hpv. If I wait until after a year of no wart recurrences, and assume I have developed an immunity to the wart causing hpv (even though the hpv virus likely remains) is it likely that in the future (at least 5 years from now) when I plan on having children my hpv will re-activate and thus produce warts again?
My second question is; does the dormancy period of hpv have any known correlation with recurrence rates? I am well aware of who I got hpv from (there's only one choice, and he admitted to knowing he had genital warts at the time), and the last time we had any sexual
smear a couple months ago, indicating they recently occured).
Finally, in your experience do you beleve cryotherapy is an effective treatment for very small warts, or would you recommend an alternative solution?
Thank you very much for your time, your response is greatly appreciated.
