genitial wart treatment / Recurring warts question

by aha303, Feb 21, 2009 08:36PM
I need a second opinion. I have had genital warts from HPV since last June. Pap smear result was negative. I used aldara, and it was cleared up but not all of them. However, after bigger recurring warts, my skin was getting burn by aldara. Doctor suggested me to stop using aldara and told me to use diaper cram for treatment the irritation.

I start the treatment with TCA acid every week with family practice nurse. TCA acid makes the wart smaller, however, I always have bigger new genital warts in the other area.  So far, I have had genital for more than 6 months

1) Do I have the right treatment?
2) When should I have another pap smear? are chronic genital wart  a sign for cervix cancer?
3) How can I stop new genital warts?
