high diastolic BP with standing and walking

hello I'm 36 y male. I have been very sick for 6 months. I have got a sever POTS symptoms which are " jump in the heart rate to 120 or more with standing, weakness, sever fatigue, tingling in legs and hand, dizziness.and PACs extra heart beat"But what makes me crazy is that spike  in my BP with standing. When lay down my BP is 125/85 but with standing up it flays to 140/110 or some time more. My diastolic always stay over 100 when I'm standing and immediately drop down to 8-89 when I lay down. I feel also strange feeling like I have a adrenaline rush it is like internal shaky and anxiety . I'm going to see endocrinologist but I'm scared from conn's syndrome. I visited many cardiologists they made all heart tests which come back normal .

is there any one have this BP jump with standing?? Is it fatal and how it can be treated?? My BP is go high only the diastolic this make me crazy.

It is very common for BP to go up when you stand.   The symptoms you describe sound like a panic attack.   Panic attacks are NOT only after an emotional event.   They come on without warning, and are thought to be related to an over-production of adrenaline.

Don't try and diagnose yourself.  Also, do not assume that a medicine cannot help you; please, if you doctor thinks you should be on BP meds, just DO IT.   My grandmother lived to 90 with very high blood pressure but she took medication all her life and it was fine.

You might want to see a therapist or counselor...not because I think your symptoms are not REAL, but because you are having such a hard time dealing with all of this.   It's not good to let worry take over your life...Good luck my friend.

I really appreciate your help tacolino.
My symptoms is that feeling of adrenaline rush which makes me feel shaky, anxious, very alerted, panic, dizzy and very fatigued.Really it is a wired feeling it is looks like what you have whin a panick attack come. But it is come suddenly with no reason unlik the panic attack which come after any emotional stress.  Also i have some days very active and some days l can't go out of my bed. The more seve symptom is the hypertension with standing but normal with sitting or laying down and that's why I side the BP medications will be not useful because I don't have a relatively constant BP it is fluctuating according to my position. I don't take any medication. The endocrinologist say I don't have pheo. The blood test come negative. I think it is hypo POTS unfortunately.

what are the specific symptoms that make you crazy?
I dont understand what you mean when you say that even the bp meds will be hard to tolerate?
Why not let the doctor decide on the tests you need? He is the expert after all, we are just ordinary people trying to help if we can with any knowledge we have.
You seem to be having lots of tests across the spectrum. Same question again, are you currently taking any meds at all? If so what are they?
Thats the starting point.

I'll do 24 hrs BP this week. What makes me crazy is that my BP only spike with standing or with exercise go to 115 diastolic from 80 so even the BP medications will be hard to tolerate. I did a CT scan for all the abdomen it was normal also in ER they checked the kidneys functions I guess. They side it is ok. Or are there special test for the kidneys.?? I'll ask the dr for the heart MRI.

There could be many reasons for the high Diastolic. It does not necessarily mean you have coronary artery disease. The 24 hour urine is usually a test for adrenals. Also in Ireland this test goes has  to go to  a centre outside the country, so results are very slow coming through, so if hat happens, your now aware of the delay possibility. How is your BP on 24 hour monitor, did you have a 24 hour ABP test yet? Are you on any meds at all?
High Bp does not usually have symptoms unless its very raised. Lower pressure does have symptoms though I  find most doctors are only interested in getting bp down. They often are quick to dismiss bp symptoms if its gone too low. A Cardiac MRI test could be done, but you would have to be exhibiting symptoms of concern for  the doctor to do this test, which is a complex test. Its unlikely they would do an angio, as they would need good reason to suspect some problem. This is an invasive test.
Maybe ask your endo where you go from here?
What way is the bp fluctuations effecting you?
Did you have a CT of adrenal glands & Kidneys yet?
Is Kidney function ok in blood tests?

Tacolino, what kind of heart test can I do rather that ech and ECG to make sure that my heart is fine. I read that high diastolic BP means coronary artery disease. How to roll out this??

I did a blood test for Catecholamines adrenaline. Which came back normal. Doctor let me lay down for 30 minutes before collecting the sample. I'm going to do 24hr urine test. But I'm sure that my problem is related to adrenaline gland hormones. I can feel the sudden anxiety and shakiness come almost every day without reasons. My BP fluctuations is killing me. I was very active guy I used to left heavy wights at gym today I can't walk for half hour.

Hi there, Im exactly the same. Been up and down the doctors for the last 4 weeks , blood test have shown some other complications which are minor but the main issue is the diastolic reading. I've been prescribed beta blockers now. The symptoms are the same especially the weakness and the tingling :/ and also the weird adrenaline like rushes, stiff neck, all tensed up too.
It's sent me crazy too so hopfully these tablets will work quickly.
I've had echocardiogram and other tests and all fine.
