Welcome and thanks for your question. It takes a very high BP to cause those kinds of symptoms. What is your BP when taken by your doctor? There really are few over the counter items that can help lower BP. Your best bet is to cut way back on salts as they cause a fluid overload which raises BP. Also, keep your soda intake to a minimum as soft drinks are loaded in sodium as are most processed foods so stick with fruits and veggies. Also, exercise has a dramatic effect on lower BP, but always get your doctor's OK first. Before you start any over the counter treatments, discuss it with your doctor as they know your history.

I also have vertigo which was caused by having Labyrinthitis. A fault with the balance in my eardrum. My blood pressure shot right up but it turned out it was because of the dizzyness not caused by it. I get very high B/P when I am even a little bit ill. So perhaps its that reason. But I'm not a doctor.
