It is great that you want to exercise. The most important caution is to listen to you body. If it hurts more than you are comfortable with don't do it. Around 6 wks postop it becomes safer to exert yourself with some degree of caution. Best wishes,

Please forgive me for the delay in answering your question. In short listen to your body. If it hurts a lot don't do it; likewise, start with baby steps and work your way back up to where you were before your surgery. No sex for 6 wks. Good luck!
