Greetings twinkie756,
Fibroids that distort the endometrial lining as you descibed are more commonly associated with abnormal uterine bleeding when compared to other types. I don't know the full extent of your fibroids but operative hysteroscopy can often serve as a treatment option in those who wish to avoid hysterectomy. Fibroids do not normally cause hot flashes. Good luck!
Hello twinkie756,
I don't have enough details to know whether a hysterectomy is your only management option. I rcommend that you have a discussion with your gynecologist specifically on treatment options that do not involve hysterectomy if desired. Some necrosing fibroids within the uterine cavity may be associated with abnormal vaginal discharge. I recommend that you be evaluated for more common causes fo vaginal discharge however such as vaginitis and STD's. Hotflashes are not caused by fibroids. Best wishes.
