Numbness and H1N1 vaccine

Hi, i am a 28 year old healthy female and I had the H1N1 vaccine in oct.  After about 3 hours left side of face got tingly and went numb, a day later it went into my left arm and hand and my blood pressure raised dramatically and I had a weird sensation that would come and go over my head.  I went to 3 different ERs and was told i had bells palsy(i did not} and anxiety(I was stressed out, of course).  I had ekg, blood work, some kind of gas bubble or something in my vein to test my oxygen and Cat scan of brain, and chest x-ray because i felt like i couldnt breathe(this was after taking the prednisone for bells palsy) and all turned out normal, except i had alot of cabon dixoide (i think thats right) because i was hyperventilating. For a week i thought i was dying, I was finally  sent to Neurologist after 1 week, he physically evaluated me and thought my symptoms were definately from the vaccine, he said the only other thing it could be is MS but didnt think that was the case because of the onset of symptoms with the vaccine.  My question is it has almost been 6 months and for the most part i feel good except i still have the occasional numb/weird feeling in my left arm and hand.  Is anyone else still having weird feelings?  I feel like if this was going to kill me it would have already done so and maybe i have some type of nerve damage or maybe its all in my mind from having all that horrible stuff happen to me.  I dont know.  By the way my 3 year old son, fiancee, 15 year old neice, 8 year old nephew among others in my family had the vaccine with no known problems.  I would greatly appreciate any anwer anyone could give me and if i dont get one at least visiting this site and the posts i have read has made me feel better in knowing that i wasnt the only one.

Hi, I received the vaccination around the time that the swine flu scare was going on. I received mine at my high school administered by my nurse. Everything was fine until a month later. One day I was standing up talking to my mom and I suddenly felt very odd. A new sort of numbness spread throughout my head and I began having actual flashbacks of past insignificant events. In the same moment this horrible (not painful but indescribable) numbing sensation spread all over my body. I couldn't speak out or move it was so intense and it scared me to the point I thought I was dying. It only lasted about a minute and a half but it was the worst, most unsettling experience of my life. It occurred several other times periodically that week and more following the next month. I thought the nightmare would never be over and suddenly two years later it disappeared. Doctors and nurses advised me to seek mental help and refused to run tests to explain my situation. After a year of relief the other day the sensation came back and I became emotional as my nightmare (while pregnant) begins all over again. God bless us. Sorry for your condition. Never again.

Hi stressed out (good name, sums up our situation nicely),

I think you may have already joined us on the "Tingling" chapter 2 - glad you joined us there. Read as much as you can there - it holds lots of info from people/doctors/neuro's/Physical therapists etc.

I have felt exactly like you. Am almost 4 months post vacc - still dealing with the fallout. It's definitely not in your mind - this illness is a nightmare and very challenging/scary with multiple symptoms etc...I'll see you over on the other forum.
