The sources I have found do not indicate a second dose of TIG, but they all do recommend following up with the vaccination series: https://open.alberta.ca/dataset/aip/resource/cc8a253c-30e6-4a76-8a14-b0892a90efe5/download/AIP-BP-Tetanus-PEP.pdf
Thanks for your reply. I have read an other documents that a 250 ui is for <24 hours, if it is more than 24 hours then 500 ui is recommended. Now, I am hesitated to take another shot in the medical center again due to COVID19 cases being incremented in the country.
Is a cat scratch big risk for tetanus? It was minor scratch that bled for few minutes and got completely dried within day.
Should I take the other 250 ui shot and follow the recommendation of CDC and take the risk of COVID19 exposure due to not staying home or I ignore it ?
It is not one of the higher risks for tetanus, no.
The choice of whether to continue is yours alone - no one can make that decision for you. The best course of action is for you to get vaccinated with the regular series as soon as possible.
