25 Year Old Female

Hi,

I'm a 25 year old female.  4 days ago I woke in the middle of the night after feeling a tingling in my left chest (near by heart) and my left arm.  I typically sleep on my left side but since my father had a stroke 10 years ago (at age 57), I'm worried.  I was diagnosed with high cholesterol when I was a teen.  I just returned to school full time and unfortunately have no health insurance, I haven't had my cholesterol checked in awhile.  I'm still experincing the chest pains in my left chest on and off and today I also noticed my left neck was tingling.

I've heard that strokes can occur even at age 25.

Please advise.

Thank you!

Although you are right, that strokes can occur at a young age, the chances of you having a stroke or heart attack are very low at your age. Still it is a good idea to get a complete check up from your doctor.
