Can chest pain come from thoracic spine area?

July 2007 had tilt table test.  Next day had horrible pain in right calf plus if felt like it would explode.  Other symptoms - leg weak, felt heavy, felt tight, etc.  Doppler showed no evidence of  DVT.  Vascular test - normal lower extremity arterial testing was OK.  Saw spine neurosurgeon, orthopedic dr. and two neurologists.  Had 6 cat scans done.  My neurologist sent me to another one that he thought probably could figure out what was causing the calf pain.

Saw second neurologist Oct. 2007 and he said the problem was coming from thoracic spine.  Had taken him all of my cat scans and the reports.
Feb. 2008 had chest pains.  Heart catherization was done at that time which showed no blockages, no placque.  Cardiologist said I have a strong heart.  I do have a pacemaker which I got in June 2007.  When I get the chest pain I notice most of the time that I also have pain in the upper part of my spine and at times I have also have pain down my left arm.  One day it even affected my hand much so that I could not clench it.  I usually have the calf pain when I wake up in the morning and many times chest pain at same time.

My question is - could the chest pain come from the thoracic spine or any area of the spine?

The neurologist is too far away for me to go back and see him.  Called his office a month ago but they never returned my call.  Sent e-mail to his office after that but never heard from them.  Guess I would have to make appt. and go back to see him but unable to do that.

Thank you for your response.
As I have a pacemaker I cannot have an MRI.  CT did not show compression.
Beings the neurologist told me my calf pain comes from the thoracic spine I thought
maybe the chest pain, arm pain, etc. might be from there also.  From your reply I
must not be having pain from that area.
I am 71.  The only med I take is Prilosec 20 MG once a day.  Have taken that for at least
10 years.
Do you have any idea as to where this pain is coming from as I still have it several times a week mostly when have calf pain or after vacuuming or doing some type or work.
Appreciate any information re this.
Hope my other msg. which was worded about the same at this doesn't show up in the chat as I had put it on my task bar and clicked on a website and it disappeared.  No idea what happened to it.  Looked in the forum and didn't see it so sending this one.
Thank you.

Thoracic spine can be the cause of chest pain but you should have an abnormal MRI or CT scan that shows compression before the spine can be incriminated.
