My dad, who is 76 years old, suffered a heart attack (Sept. 1992) and underwent triple bypass surgery in Jan. 1993 with mitral valve replacement. He has been doing very well the last 14 years until the summer of 2007 when he started having problems breathing on minimal exertion accompanied by chest pain and not helped with Nitroglycerin. My Dad's cardiologist did a angiogram in Nov. 2007 and found his EF to be 0.25%. Last week my Dad went to the cardiologist for a follow-up visit and the cardiologist looked at my Dad's chart on his computer and printed out a picture of my Dad's (heart) during his angiogram last Nov. (which he gave my Dad) showing where he had some blockages in his arteries. There were some abbreviations written on the printout he gave my Dad which I don't know the meaning of.
Can anyone tell me the meaning of the following and what each abbreviation means?
Native RCA not -- standard or stented (I can't make out the word after RCA not... It's either standard or stented).
L-IMA
differ dz (not sure if this is correct as I can hardly make the words out).
LV dilated to MR with MVP IB Akin (or IB Pekin, again, I can't really read the writing) o/w severe global hypo
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
