Hello,  I write from Africa, I am 38 year man with  pain in the chest and feeling that I cannot take in enough air.  However,  the pain in the chest does not increase as I am active, however sometimes if I walk up some hill or some stairs,  then afterwards  I must stop and breath...unlike just 1 year ago, this is new to me.     I have been fortunate as my country is very poor but I have been checked inthe hospital with  some blood testing and ultrasonic heart measuring,  as well as ECG tracings.    I was also put on the treadmeal to run with ECG tracings and blood pressure, the stressing test.  I also blow air into a machine to test my lungs.     No problems have been found with the testing, and I have been told I can no longer be evaluated,  now I don't know what I am to do?

I am not certain the cause of your symptoms --sometimes this can be due to poor physical conditioning if you have changed your activity over the last year.  Sorry I am not of more help.  Ask the doctor if they were able to measure the pressure in your lung arteries as high pressure there could cause these symptoms.
