ejection fraction

i`had an MI at age 49 7 months earlier. after the MI my ejection fraction was 25-30%. in 7 months it has increased to 47%. how can this be increased and what are the factors that inhibit improvement?

Dear Doc, The answer is partially helpful. What I need to know is; whether the EF would increase further and upto what level ? How much time the heart needs to get out of "stunned" state; and apart from MEDs what other factors help in improving EF and damage recovery?.....

Yes this is acommonly observed phenomenon. After a MI portion of the the heart is "stunned" and not actually dead. It is this that recovers in the post MI period.
