Left Side Going Numb in Kidney Area

For about the past 3 months now my kidneys have been killing me.. It gets worse when I walk and if I continue walking after it starts hurting more my left kidney area goes numb.  Can still feel the pain but I have the numb feeling.  About 9 months ago I had a small stone in my left kidney but not sure if I ever passed it or not.  Could it be that the kidney stone got bigger or is it something else?  Any advice or answer would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you for your time.

I got the activation email and I did it.  I also opened another account and tried that and it did the same thing.  It says:
1.Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2.If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
I have to wait for them to activate it.  And they haven't done it yet.  I'm just trying to post a new thread in the ask the medical panel so I can tell him what is going on and see what he says.  I don't know what else to do.  I've even emailed them myself about activating it and they haven't.  I haven't even got an email back.  I don't know what else to do.  I'm going to try emailing them again and see if I get a response.  Talk to you later.

No reply yet from the forum.  I haven't had any disk or back injuries and the doctor I see is a D.O. at a family practice.  He is really good though and really checks into things when I have problems.  As far as my diabetes goes... I take insulin and do have it under control.  I'm hoping I can post on that forum before I have to go the docs.  I would really like to know what I should have him check for or what tests to have him do and possibly an idea of what it might be.  I will keep you posted.  Have to go for now have a bday party to go to.    Anna

Did they reply yet? I sent 2 e-mails. OK you state you are diabetic, did you know the two most common causes of Kidney Disease are 1) Diabetes 1) HBP???? It is called "Diabetic Kidney Disease".
Most Kidney Diseases attack the nephrons causing them to loose their filtering capacity. Damage to the nephrons can happen very fastly often due to posioning (even OTC meds) or trauma. But thegood news for you is... most Kidney Diseases destroy the nephrons SLOWLY and silently. I am sure you are keeping your Diabetes under control with meds. sooo we have to wait and see what the doc. says.
Now don't get alarmed because we really don't know yet why you have the numbness. Have you had any disk or back injuries?? Do you have a Kidney doc??? Cara

Yes I can still read the posts..  Looked through quite a few of them and haven't found anything similar to mine (with the numbness).  Just have to wait it out and see.  And he does seem to be a great guy.  He is nice and respectful in all the answers I had read.  And thanks for getting ahold of the person that runs it for me.  Very much appreciated.  Talk to you soon.       Anna

Hi,
OK I will e-mail the guy that runs it and see if he can put a rush on it. I think you can still read the posts there without being a member... Correct? How are you feeling now? Please post and let me know. Cara

Hi Anna.
Tea can be very bad for some stone compositions like oxalate (which is in most cases always a component). I think you will get much help from Doctor. G at the other forum. Please do post to him and if you have trouble finding it let me know. Keep me posted and let me know how your doing. Fell better soon :) Cara

Thank you for the advice on where to go and who to talk to.  All I drink is water and tea also as it is because I'm diabetic.  Once in a great while I will drink a diet soda.  I don't understand the going numb part either.  It is weird and have never had it happen before.  Once again thanks for your response.  Anna
