KIDNEY STONE REMOVAL WAS DONE AND A STENT WAS INSERTED FOR ME ON 13 JUNE2011.STONE HAD BLOCKED MY LEFT KIDNEY. WHEN SHOULD THE STENT BE REMOVED. IS STENT REMOVAL PAINFUL? WIL IT HAVE ANY AFTEREFFECTS. KINDLY REply

And your doctor should tell you when it needs to be removed. If they haven't phone them and ask. You don't want to remove it too soon.

When I removed my stent it was a slight bit of pressure just right on the onset, but after that is just comes out in one fluid motion. You will be surprised at how long it is. It feels really good to get it out.

Hi when the stent is removed its not painful at all in fact its a relief and afterward you may get an infection but the Dr should give u antibiotic.
