Can abdominal distension be caused from a rectocele

I was diagnosed 2 yrs ago with a small rectocele which 2 mos ago became a very large one. My symptoms changed to frequency and difficulty voiding unless i first manually push the rectocele back and down into my vagina.

I have no problems with defecating except that when i do have a normal bm the rectocele becomes more pronounced. But overnight the rectocele seems to go back into place. I can actually feel it receding so that when I get up in the morning it's as if I don't have a problem. Gravity and the normal bodily functions change that quickly though.

My current insurance company, BCBS, made me sign a waver that they will never cover anything related in any way to a rectocele, cystocele or uterine prolapse, so I am in a bind for the next 4 mos until i turn 65yo.

In the meantime I am pretty uncomfortable on a daily basis and am concerned that if in 2 mos there was such a dramatic change, should I be worried that it could get much worse. And if that's the case, would there be concerns about urinary retention, etc. and what should I do in the meantime?

Thank you.

I don't think that this is the right forum for your problem, unless you have other symptoms that might suggest that this is also a systemic problem.
