Acute Kidney failure / heart attack

Dear lovely people,

My father is in a very critical situation!
he had an Angina attack 8 days ago,
he has a pacemaker
after the attack:
kidneys failure
Low blood pressure
artificial respiratory system
he was aware, he used to recognise his children while looking at them

in the day 5:
blood pressure begun to be better (90/100)
so the doctors decided to do the cath followed by 2 hours of kidney dialysis..
no heart veins were closed during the cath
in the dialysis, his blood pressure became to be higher, we were happy of this small progress

day 6:
3 hours dialysis,
afternoon he had electric brain shocks (I was very sad, I thought that his brain was better before)

day 7:
3 hours dialysis
electric shocks

we don't know now how his brain is damaged, and hopefully not!!!
and now he has a fever of 38,5 (they are doing a culture to see if he got an infection in the ICU)
till now the kidneys are not functioning!

I don't want to be desperate, I don;t want to loose hope
I want to see what are the possibilities that my father will stay alive!!!
he was doing better the first days, why he collapsed later!!!!

Questions:
1- what is the important good thing to happen now? (kidney functioning)?
2- is it common that one receives electric shock after a heart attack?
3- how normal is the fever that he had later?
4- if the kidney functions, will other problems will get resolved?

5- do you think that the ICU are committing errors?

Any answer to any question would be so much appreciated...

love

Oh! I read your comment just now!
Thanks for your response, I was quite anxious that period... However, my father couldn't do it.. and I lost him the day after my post.. he was in a real severe condition.
Thanks again

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How is your father? There are many factors to consider in determining the cause of  his fever. While it can be hospital acquired, factors such as   his overall health, immune system, medical history and his present condition are important considerations also. Goal of treatment in acute renal failure is to help  the kidneys work again and prevent fluid and waste from building up in the body while they heal.  Dialysis is important in making him feel better and most often be short term. It is best that you talk to his attending physician also for proper management and to ease any worrry. Take care and do keep us posted.
