Okay, let's see what we can accomplish without insurance. Everything will only be about odds and tendencies, since only a biopsy can diagnose lymphoma for sure.
1st off, the size is around the very upper limit of what can still be not-cancer.
2nd, your "persistent symptoms that are getting worse" are general, but headaches and ringing in ears not usually heard with lymphoma - though anything is possible.
3rd, if looking at lymphoma, we should look 1st at Hodgkin's Lymphoma because of your age - though most any type is possible in your age group.
HL first showing up inguinal and elbow area is not usual, but possible.
Do you get pain from drinking alcohol?
Easy bruising?
(I often wonder, btw, how a patient is supposed to know what terms like fixed and/or firm mean, since they have nothing to compare with.)
So, this could be infection or lymphoma (or something else).
Next step? Maybe get a CBC on your own. Compare prices at sites like WalkInLabs (~$30). If all cell counts are low (pancytopenia), go immediately to a doctor.
Maybe get the LDH blood test, too.
Also, think about anything that happened before the first node (if they are, in fact, nodes) swelled that might have been a cause.
I'll keep an eye out for your reply.
They feel fixed. I have tried massaging them and they don't get smaller or move. They feel firm and roundish. About the size of a penny both of them
Hi, what is the size and shape, and are they movable?
