Multiple Lung Nodules

Freaking out a bit, I live in Minnesota.  36yr old male/non smoker. Recently had some chest pain, with a history of asthma and the chest pain not going away, I went in to check it out.  All heart procedures checked out.  They did a chest X-ray and found a concern which led to a CT scan.  They found multiple nodules throughout my lungs.  One is on the upper left lobe measuring 1cm.  I saw a pulmonary dr yesterday.  She wasn't concerned with the small nodules but thought we should biopsy the 1cm nodule to make sure it is not LC.  Anyone else been through this, that could shed some light? I'm worried my kids will grow up without me present!
