lung cancer, metastasis

Is it possible to have surgery if there is tumour cell in both side of the lung? (two in left side and three in right side, the largest one is 2.6cm)

metastasis from ovary, intestinal type borderline mucinous tumour

Hi.

It might be better for your sister to undergo radiotherapy, or a combination of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, to manage her condition. Stereotactic radiotherapy (or radiosurgery) might be an option in her case. You should ask her doctor's about this treatment alternative.

Thank you very much for your reply and advice. My sister had received taxol and carbo for the last chemotherapy. However, the result is poor and the tumour still increase in size. Do you have any suggestion about chemo drugs for this intestinal type borderline mucinous tumour?

Hi.

Unfortunately, unless the cancer is isolated to the lung, surgery cannot effectively remove the cancer. The only option available would be radiotherapy or chemotherapy, or a combination of both.
