please help me with my dad,he is very ill

i am seeking help for my father, he is 56 and in very bad shape...here are some symtoms
very bad inffected lungs, with holes and pus pockets
pnemonia,emphazema,sever weight loss 50 lbs in 2 months....25 a month
thrus yeast infection in mouth, hurts to eat, legs staterd to swell, DVT....hard time urinating (just started)
he is very hard headed and i think he is going to die. he is a chronic smoker and smoked pot for over 35 years. he is very addicted to vicodins takes like 10 yellow ones a day. has chronic dark direaha,very weak...are these signs of cancer? what can i do to make him goto hospital and stay, i called ambulance service and they said they cant make him go....what do i do

I am sorry about your situation. It's a tough one because you can't make him go legally. He definitly sounds sick and should see a doctor. Tell your dad how much this is hurting you and it is having a negative impact on your emotional well being. You sound like a very loving great daughter. I would call a adult care center and ask them for their adivce I'm sure they probably have seen this before and would possibly have some helpful advice as to what you can do. I lost my mom at 23yrs old 5 yrs ago and know how hard it is to see a parent suffer healthwise and feel helpless sometimes. I wish you the best sweetie and will pray for you hang in there and pray to God for some guidance he will answer you if you believe and trust him with all your heart. I am so sorry you have to go trough this it is very hard to watch someone you love suffer.Dad seems to have some major problems going on, may I ask how old you are? Sad to say you can not make him seek help. Is he on Advair disk for his breathing? That can cause yeast in his mouth. If he is not going to the bathroom and it is dark he may be dehydrated. The weight loss & swelling dont sound good either you know sweetie i am not a Dr but he reall needs to see one. As far as the vicodins go he is killing his liver. Do you have anymore family that can help you talk to him?  I wish you the best let me know how he is.
